Croton-Harmon Bond Overwhelmingly Approved By Voters CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- Voters in the Croton-Harmon school district overwhelmingly approved a $20.8 million bond that the district will spend on capital improvements Tuesday. The bond was approved 465 votes to 152 votes. The district said the bond will lead to building improvements at three schools, the district office and transportation facility. Car Crashes Into Building In Croton CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- A driver in Croton-on-Hudson received quite the scare Tuesday afternoon when his car crashed into the side of a building at the corner of  South Riverside Avenue and Wayne Street. The driver was pulling into a parking lot when the car accelerated. The driver said he stood on the brakes, but the car would not stop, according to an EMT at the scene. Janiel Myke had been charged with manslaughter in the first degree (a Class B violent felony) in the shooting death of 22-year-old Stephen Agosto of Peekskill.
