An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Tarrytown Woman Wins Car On 'Price Is Right' Emily Pilkington of Tarrytown walked away with two big prizes on her recent appearance on "The Price Is Right." Pilkington got to come on down and play on the venerable game show last week. She won $24,000 in prizes, including a NordickTrack C 7.5 Elliptical Fitness Trainer and a 2017 Blazing Red Metallic Mini Cooper. On "One Bid", Pilkington guessed $751 on a Virtual Reality Set, when the actual price was $500. The next time she played, Pilkington guessed $950 on the fitness trainer. Ousted Fox News CEO Ailes Was Selling Hudson Valley Properties When He Died Hudson Valley resident Roger Ailes, the former president and chairman of Fox News, was in the process of selling his properties in Putnam at the time of his death. Two properties are still on the market, while one sold last December. Ailes died Thursday morning at age 77 due to complications of a subdural hematoma after he fell in his Palm Beach home last week, according to police. Last July, Ailes was ousted from Fox News following allegations of sexual harassment made by former anchor Gretchen Carlson.
