Grant Will Assist Development Of Mahwah Historical Sites Brochure MAHWAH, N.J. -- Mahwah Historic Preservation Commission will be developing a brochure about the town's historic sites, having been awarded a 2016 Bergen County History Grant. If anyone's ever wondered about the blue historic site markers around town, this brochure will include a map. Alfred John Raffio Sr., 84, Former New Rochelle Resident NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Alfred John Raffio Sr., a Delaware resident, formerly of New Rochelle, died on Sunday, Jan. 10. He was 84. He was born on May 6, 1931, in New Rochelle, to Emilio Raffio and Carmellia Raffio Spalleno. An Army veteran of the Korean War, Raffio worked for the Ursuline School of New Rochelle for many years. After nearly a lifetime in New Rochelle, he retired in Delaware. Raffio is survived by sons Emil Raffio of Delaware, Michael Raffio of Connecticut and John Raffio of Florida; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
