Artists Sought For Recycled Art Contest In Bridgeport BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Both amateur and professional artists 18 and older are encouraged to compete in the EarthFest Recycled Art Contest. Participants must apply before Sunday, Jan. 31. Artists are invited to create works from recycled materials, demonstrating how everyday junk can be used to create new and beautiful things. Jack Tymon Sr., 87, Former Stamford Resident STAMFORD, Conn. -- Jack Tymon -- of Statesville, N.C. and formerly of Stamford, died on Tuesday, Jan. 19. He was 87. He was born on Aug. 27, 1928, in Stamford, to James and Elizabeth Phelan Tymon. Tymon was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, in Statesville. Tymon was a self-employed mason by trade. He was also an avid hunter, fisherman and had a green thumb. He loved to watch football and was a huge fan of Notre Dame and the New England Patriots. He is survived by his wife of 62 years…
