Thousands Without Power In Warren County Thousands of Warren County residents were without power Tuesday morning, August 22, authorities said. According to JCP&L, nearly 8,500 of Warren County’s approximately 52,500 customers had lost electricity as of 8 a.m. Hackettstown was experiencing the highest number of outages with nearly 3,900 (77 percent), with Allamuchy Township at more than 2,500 (97 percent). Crash With Injuries Snarls Traffic On Route 22 A Route 22 crash caused injuries and backed up traffic for rush-hour commuters on Monday, August 21. The crash occurred toward the center of the highway near King George Road in Green Brook Township shortly before 3:50 p.m., according to 511NJ. Dump Truck Driver, 32, Killed In Sussex County Crash: State Police A dump truck driver was killed in a Sussex County crash Monday, August 21, state police confirmed. The crash occurred near 78 Fox Hill Road in Frankford Township just after 10:20 a.m., NJSP Det. I Jeffrey Lebron told Daily Voice. Joseph S. Spagnuolo, 32, was heading north in a Ford 800 dump truck when the vehicle veered off the left side of the road, hit the guardrail, and overturned into the woods, Lebron said. Spagnuolo, of Frankford Township, was killed in the crash. The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said. No further details were released.

Driver, 34, Found Dead In Tractor-Trailer Parked On Rt. 80 Shoulder: State Police A 34-year-old driver was found dead in a tractor-trailer parked on the side of Route 80 in Morris County Sunday afternoon, August 20, state police said. Jonathan Vistren-Jaquez, of Mexico, was found in the vehicle on the westbound side near milepost 40.5 in Denville around 2 p.m., NJSP Det. I Jeffrey Lebron told Daily Voice. Vistren-Jaquez was pronounced dead at the scene. The death is under investigation but is not considered suspicious, Lebron added. No further details were released.
