Dog Missing After Owner Struck By Vehicle At Somerset County Intersection: Police A 63-year-old woman was hospitalized and her Sheltie is missing after she was struck by a vehicle in Somerset County on Tuesday morning, Dec. 12, police said. The woman was walking her Sheltie, “Bonnie,” when she was struck near the intersection of Crusader Way and Washington Street in Bound Brook around 7:15 a.m., Police Chief Richard S. Colombaroni said in a release. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Man, 45, Airlifted After Dousing Hunterdon County Porch Fire A 45-year-old Hunterdon County resident was flown to a nearby hospital after dousing a fire on his front porch on Tuesday night, Dec. 12, police said. The blaze broke out at a home on Allerton Road in Clinton around 8:20 p.m., Clinton Township Police said. Officers arrived and found that the man was able to extinguish the flames but had been injured in the process. The man was subsequently flown to Saint Barnabas Medical Center for further treatment.
