Former VA Volunteer Firefighter, Devoted Dad Michael Broaddus Dies Tributes and condolences are flooding in after the unexpected death of former volunteer firefighter and devoted Virginia dad of two Michael Gregg Broaddus on Thursday, April 6. He was 60. Described as “a man of Sparta,” Michael graduated from Virginia Tech and worked as an Extension Agent with the Virginia Cooperative Extension, his obituary says. Motorcyclist Ejected As Acura Hits Construction Truck, Scatters Debris Across Rt. 80: Update A motorcyclist was ejected and hospitalized during a chain-reaction crash involving an Acura and a closure truck in a construction zone on Route 80 Thursday, April 20, state police said. The crash occurred in the eastbound lanes near milepost 47.2 in Parsippany just after 12:45 p.m., NJSP Sgt. Philip Curry told Daily Voice. According to Curry, an Acura hit the back of a crash truck that was being used to close a left construction lane.
