Norwalk Schools Receive $52K Grant To Expand Breakfast Program NORWALK, Conn. – Norwalk Public Schools has been awarded a $52,000 grant from the American Association of School Administrators. The grant money will fund equipment needed to expand a “grab ‘n go” breakfast program piloted last year at Brookside Elementary School to a majority of schools across the district. KeyBank Foundation Donates $15K To Diocese Of Bridgeport BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – KeyBank Foundation recently donated $15,000 to the Catholic Diocese of Bridgeport's Foundations in Education, which provides scholarship assistance to students attending Catholic schools in Fairfield County. Bridgeport Man Charged In Box Cutter Robbery, Assault In Norwalk NORWALK, Conn. — A Bridgeport man who has previously been convicted of manslaughter and robbery was arrested in Norwalk Wednesday and charged with taking part in a robbery where a man was slashed with a box cutter, according to the Hour. Stamford Man Claims He Was Abducted, Assaulted By Drug Dealers STAMFORD, Conn. — A Stamford man reported to police that he was kidnapped and assaulted by three drug dealers who were mad that he had paid for marijuana with fake money, according to the Stamford Advocate. Norwalk Man Charged With Taking Checks From Elderly Stamford Woman STAMFORD, Conn. -- Two checks written from a dying Stamford woman's account were cashed right after her death, leading police to arrest a Norwalk handyman who was doing odd jobs for her, according to the Stamford Advocate. Teen Injured In Bridgeport Shooting BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A teen was shot in the arm during a drive-by shooting on Maplewood Avenue in Bridgeport Tuesday night, according to the Connecticut Post. The 15-year-old was sitting on the porch at around 8:20 p.m. when he heard gunshots and noticed that he had been shot in the arm, the Connecticut Post reported.
