Harrison Teachers Take On Harlem Wizards, Raise Money For School Programs
HARRISON, N.Y. – The Harrison High School gymnasium was the scene of a recent charity basketball game that collected money for the school district’s Elementary Enrichment Committee.
The game, between the Harlem Wizards and Harrison schools staff, brought together much of the community to raise the money, which will ultimately go toward funding the Visiting Author, Theater Arts, Educational Enrichment and Chess clubs at Parsons Memorial, Harrison Avenue, S.J. Preston and Purchase elementary schools, according to Monica Miles, a district spokeswoman.

Millerton Man Suspected In Connecticut Shooting Held On $1M Bail
BRIDGEWATER, Conn. – Authorities in Connecticut have taken custody of a Millerton man accused of shooting someone with a shotgun during a home invasion robbery, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.
Dustin Holst-Grubbe has been charged with assault of an elderly person, assault with a deadly weapon and home invasion, according to the Journal, which reported that he is accused of shooting the man during an alleged Aug. 4 break-in at the man’s Bridgewater, Connecticut, home.
The man, who was said to be about 65 years old, was shot in the shoulder and survived, according to the Journal.
