TV Production Shoot Returns To Rockland Lake
CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. -- A television show will be filming at Rockland Lake on Monday, Feb. 22, forcing intermittent closures of Rockland Lake Road South and Landing Road, according to police.
The shoot, for the NBC thriller "Blindspot," will feature a simulated car crash with smoke, police said. It is scheduled to begin about 8 a.m.
Action Camera Cars, a Yonkers-based company, will be assisting with the shoot, which brings the production back to Rockland Lake for at least the second time since late January.

A Michigan company is recalling packaged pistachios that may be contaminated with salmonella, an organism that can cause serious, sometimes fatal infections in people with weaken immune systems, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Country Life Natural Foods of Pullman, Mich., said 2-pound bags and 30-pound boxes of the nuts distributed in Arkansas, California, Florida, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee and Wisconsin all are subject to the recall, according to the FDA.

State Police Serving Danbury Get K-9 Armor
FAIRFIRLD COUNTY, Conn. -- A charitable donation from a nonprofit organization has provided bullet- and stab-proof vests for a pair of state police K-9s.K-9 Union and K-9 Arek received the custom vests Wednesday, Feb. 17, after Vested Interest in K-9s, Inc. was provided $2,100 in donations, according to a statement from state police.
Union is a 3-year-old German shepherd who has been assigned to Trooper Christopher Porrini for two years and currently works at Troop A, which serves Southbury, Bethel, Brookfield, Danbury, New Fairfield, Newtown, Redding, Ridgefield and Sherman.

Dancer For Hire Is Third Woman Arrested In Stamford Bar Brawl
STAMFORD, Conn. -- A 32-year-old dancer for hire is facing criminal charges in connection with a Jan. 3 fight at a Stamford club, according to the Stamford Advocate.
Maria Toribio-Francisco, of Yonkers, N.Y., is accused of smashing a beer bottle over the head of another dancer at Café Luna, according to the Advocate.
In the fight, which involved three other women, the dancer suffered a wound that required seven stitches, bruises to the eye and knee and scratches to her chest, according to the Stamford Advocate.
