Nonprofit To Run For Peace, Charity At Rockland Lake VALLEY COTTAGE, N.Y. -- A nonprofit organization that promotes peace, works to build community, encourages conflict resolution and aids victims of hate and violence is hosting a 5K race on Saturday, June 18. The inaugural Races for Peace 5K Run/Walk, a fundraiser for the group, is scheduled to open the parking lot at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Rockland Lake State Park (north entrance), 299 Rockland Lake Road. Two Stamford Youths Charged In Connection With Darien Home Burglary DARIEN, Conn. – Two Stamford youths were in police custody after being charged in the April 20 burglary of a Holmes Court home, Darien police said.
