A traffic light was down in Holmdel after a crash near an exit for the Garden State Parkway, authorities said. The crash happened at the intersection of Red Hill and Everett roads, according to a Facebook post from the Holmdel Township Police Department at 6:54 p.m. on Monday, May 6. At 3:04 a.m., police responded to the 700 block of Sanford Avenue and found a man who had been shot, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. A pre-Valentine's Day winter storm knocked out power for thousands of Jersey Shore customers. According to the outage map for Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L), 4,019 customers in Monmouth County lost electricity as of 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 13. The vast majority of those were in Ocean Township with 3,371 customers without power, which is nearly 25 percent of the township. Thousands of residents in northern New Jersey were without power as of Tuesday, Feb. 13 amid the snow storm that dropped several inches on the region. The JCP&L outage map shows 2,390 had no power in Warren County, mainly in Harmony Twp., Lopatcong, Phillipsburg, Pohatcong, and White Township as of 11:35 a.m. In Somerset County, nearly 900 residents had no power, mostly in Branchburg (790). Car Crash Knocks Down Power Lines: Chatham PD
A car crash caused a power outage in Chatham on Friday, Feb. 2,authorities said. Main Street was closed between Fairmount Avenue and Lafayette Avenue after wires went down following the crash, the Chatham Borough Police Department said on Facebook.
