A Navy veteran from the Hudson Valley who had a crucial role in a Northern Westchester business is being remembered for his kind heart. Orange County resident Eugene “Gene” Guido of Highland Mills, died peacefully at the age of 57 while surrounded by family members on Friday, Feb. 16, according to his obituary. Born in 1966 in the Bronx, Guido went on to serve in the US Navy and eventually became the director of pre-construction for Armonk-based Touchstone Builders. William Jerome Bellis (Bill), of Darien, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023, at the age of 92 surrounded by his family. He bravely fought lung cancer for over a year. Bill was born on May 12, 1930, in New York, NY to the late William Bellis and Anne Gallagher Bellis. His parents were immigrants from Liverpool, England, and Donegal, Ireland, respectively.
