Rockaway Man Was Drunk, Fled Scene After Crash At High School: Police A 44-year-old Rockaway man was arrested and hit with multiple charges following a hit-and-run crash at Morris Knolls High School on Wednesday, April 24, authorities said. David DeRosa was drunk when the crash occurred, Denville police said. He was also charged with reckless driving, careless driving, leaving the scene of a crash, failure to report a motor vehicle crash and improper backing, police said. Tractor Trailer Slams Through Building In Three-Vehicle Crash: Cedar Grove PD Two people were injured after a tractor trailer slammed through a building on Route 23 in Cedar Grove following a three-vehicle crash on Friday, April 26, Cedar Grove police said. At 11:12 a.m., two vehicles and a truck were involved in the crash before the truck struck the building, at 792 Pompton Ave. compromising the structure, police said. East Hanover Man Performed Sexual Acts On Child For 2 Years: Prosecutor A 65-year-old East Hanover man was arrested and charged with performing sexual acts on a child over the course of two years, authorities said. Gerardo Patrizio committed the sexual acts multiple times on a child between March 1, 2022 and March 1, 2024, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll, Chief of Detectives Robert McNally, and East Hanover Township Police Chief Christopher Cannizzo said.
