Violent Mahwah Crash Sends Rockland Bicyclist To Hospital (Update) A Rockland County bicyclist was hospitalized after an SUV struck him on a Mahwah road a mile or so from the state line. The 40-something victim was "lucid and responsive at the scene" following the crash on Island Road at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, Mahwah Police Chief Timothy O'Hara said. He was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with multiple injuries, the chief said. Tips Sought In Deadly Virginia Bicycle Crash With Dodge Ram Virginia State Police are seeking information in a fatal bicycle crash. Matthew M. Settle, 66, of. Strasburg, was killed in the collision involving a 1999 Dodge Ram in Shenandoah County, authorities said. It happened around 3:20 p.m. on the 2200 block on Junction Road Sunday, March 24, police said. The driver of the Dodge, Noah, B. Bicyclist Issued Warning After Crash With Vehicle In Darien, Police Say A bicyclist in Fairfield County received a stern warning after he suffered minor injuries when he was struck by a car near a busy Darien intersection, police said. A driver was heading south on West Norwalk Road at approximately 3 p.m. on Monday, July 29, when the vehicle came to a complete stop at the intersection with Post Road. When making the turn, police said that a bicyclist, who was riding east on Post Road in the shoulder of the westbound lanes, was struck by the vehicle.
