Amish Couple Killed When Horse-Buggy Struck By Truck In PA: Coroner An Amish couple was killed when their horse-and-buggy was struck by a pick-up truck in Central Pennsylvania on Sunday, authorities say. Jacob M. Stoltzfus, 71, was driving the horse-drawn buggy west with his 70-year-old wife, Annie B. Beiler Stoltzfus riding along as a passenger near 528 Valley Road, Eden Township when they were struck at 5:55 a.m. on Aug. 6, according to the Pennsylvania State Police. Murder At Central PA Hotel Across From Police Station, Police Say A woman was murdered at a Hilton Hotel in Central Pennsylvania on Aug. 4, police announced that evening. Travis Collins, 32, of Kempton (Berks County) confessed to fighting with the woman who was found dead at the Harrisburg Hilton at 3:10 a.m. on Friday, area police detailed in the announcement. Active Fire Near Township Building In Central PA (Photos) A fire has broken out across the street from a township-owned building. The fire was reported as active shortly before 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2023, by Lower Windsor Township police. The fire is on Hakes Hollow Road near Craley Road. The billowing smoke was spotted by township employees who say the fire is at a structure across the street from the Lower Windsor Township building. There is no word of any injures. Woman Stabbed In Chest At Amtrak Station In PA A woman was in critical condition following a stabbing near a Pennsylvania Amtrak station, authorities say. Jemale Brown, 41, was arrested in connection with the stabbing on Wednesday, Aug. 2, according to the Harrisburg Bureau of Police. 200+ Layoffs Expected As FedEx Facility Closes In Central PA A Central Pennsylvania FedEx will close its doors and lay off over two hundred employees, according to a WARN Notice by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry.
