Woman ID'd Following Crash In Cumberland County: Coroner An 81-year-old woman has died in a crash in Newburg, the Cumberland County Coroner’s Office announced on Monday, Sept. 25. The woman has been identified by the coroner as Betty J. Eyer of Newburg. She was the driver of a vehicle involved in a multiple-vehicle crash at the intersection of Enola and Three Square Hollow roads, Newburg, Hopewell Township at approximately 2:05 p.m. on Sept. 23, the coroner explained. Pedestrian 'Incident' On I-81 At Maryland Border Clears: PennDOT Part of Interstate 81 shut down in Central Pennsylvania on Friday morning, according to Pennsylvania Department of Transportation spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler. The "pedestrian-related incident" happened at mile marker 1 on Sept. 22 shortly before 7:40 a.m., Schreffler detailed to Daily Voice. The southbound lanes closed between exit 3 to Molly Pitcher Highway and the Maryland border, according to PennDOT. Water Outage Shutters School In Central PA A Central Pennsylvania elementary school is closed due to a water shortage. The sudden announcement of the closure came from the Lower Dauphin School District around 7 a.m. on Sept. 21 — the same day as the closure.
