ID Released For Fleeing Driver Involved In Crash After Exiting Taconic Parkway
The driver of the vehicle involved in a police pursuit and crash has been identified by New York State Police.
Allan P. Forbes, age 31, was arrested after the incident in Dutchess County began in East Fishkill around 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 19 when troopers stopped the car for allegedly speeding.
As the trooper was questioning Forbes, of the Bronx, during the stop on the Taconic State Parkway, he took off, exiting the Taconic and heading eastbound on Route 52, state police said.

Northern Westchester Man Charged With DUI Following Crash, State Police Say
A Northern Westchester man was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after losing control of his vehicle and hitting an embankment.
Christopher Sweeting, age unavailable, of Yorktown, was arrested around 11 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 15 in Cortlandt, following the crash on Bear Mountain Bridge Road, said. Trooper AJ Hicks.
According to Hicks, Sweeting was traveling across the Bear Mountain Bridge Road when he crossed the center line and hit an embankment near Route 9.
Sweeting, who was injured, was transported to Westchester Medical Center, he added.

Man Found Shot To Death Outside CT Bar
Despite a hostile crowd, police in Connecticut responding to a report of shots fired, found a man shot to death lying in a parking lot.
The incident took place around 12:30 a.m., Friday, Aug. 20, when East Hartford Police rushed to the Malibu Sports Bar and Lounge, 808 Silver Lane, on the report of someone shot.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found an unconscious adult male victim in the parking lot, said Lieutenant Joshua Litwin of the East Hartford Police Department.

Uber Rider From Westchester Becomes Violent With Driver, Police Say
An area man was arrested after forcing an Uber driver to take him to New York when he allegedly became physically violent in Fairfield County.
Westchester resident, Christopher Doherty, age 57, of Larchmont, turned himself in to police on Thursday, Aug. 12, for the incident which took place on Friday, July 30 in Darien, authorities said.
The complainant, a driver for Uber, reported that he had responded to a Darien address earlier in the evening to pick up a fare, according to police.

Western Mass Woman Wins $320K In State Lottery
A woman won a whopping $320,000 playing Keno in the Massachusetts State Lottery.
The winner, Hampden County resident Sharon Miner matched all numbers in the 9-spot game on Wednesday, Aug. 18, according to lottery officials.
Miner, of Holyoke, played a $2 ticket and added the Keno Bonus for an additional $2. The Keno Bonus multiplier for this draw was 4X.
In the game, match 9 out of 9 for $1 wager is $40,000 prize, since it was a $2 wager, it became $80,000 plus the additional 4x multiplier, which landed Miner with $320,000.
