Fatal Crash: 38-Year-Old Found By Guardrail With Leg Injury In CT A bicyclist died in the hospital after being found injured next to a guardrail following a crash in Connecticut, police announced.  The events leading to the man's death began in Tolland County on Sunday, July 21 around 1 p.m., when a passerby saw an unattended bicycle against a guardrail at 667 Wall St. (Route 316) in Hebron.  According to Connecticut State Police, the passerby then saw a man next to the guardrail almost into the woods with a severe leg injury. 3 Found Stabbed After Disorderly Group Disbands In New Rochelle: Suspect At Large Authorities are searching for a suspect who stabbed three people in Westchester, including two now in critical condition.  The stabbing happened in New Rochelle on Sunday, July 21 just after 4:15 a.m., when the city's police department was clearing a large disorderly group on the 200 block of North Avenue.  According to the department, as officers worked to disband the group, they found three men with stab wounds, including one stabbed in the leg; one stabbed in the back; and another with wounds in his back and chest.  The suspect was already gone when the victims were found…

Driver Crashes Into Bear On Busy CT Highway Although a driver emerged without injuries after colliding with a bear on a busy Connecticut highway, the animal did not fare the same. The crash happened in Litchfield County on Sunday, July 21 just before 9 p.m., when a 2015 MINI Cooper struck a bear on Route 8 South near Exit 45 in Torrington, according to Connecticut State Police. Lane Closure To Impact Stretch Of Route 139 A busy roadway in Northern Westchester is being impacted by a lane closure and alternating traffic. Route 139 between Plum Brook Road and Van Rensselaer Road in Somers will be reduced to one lane on Monday, July 22 between 2:30 p.m. and 11 p.m., the New York State Department of Transportation announced.  During the closure, the affected stretch of road will have alternating traffic controlled by flaggers.  The lane reduction will allow for utility work.

2-Car Crash Shuts Down Busy Hudson Valley Intersection, Sends Person To Hospital A two-vehicle crash caused a busy Hudson Valley intersection to close for almost an hour and caused injuries.  The collision happened in Putnam County on Sunday, July 21 just after 5:30 p.m., when two cars crashed at the intersection of Route 6 and Croton Falls Road (Route 34) in Mahopac.  According to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department, one person received medical transport while another was taken to a hospital.  The intersection was closed for around 40 minutes until the cars involved were removed.
