Josh Elkes is one of seven people traveling to Haiti from Feb. 21 to March 1 and running 230 miles in nine days to raise money for Team Tassy. It is an organization that works to prepare and place the poor in Haiti into good, dignified jobs so they can pull themselves out of poverty. Victim Of Head-On Collision In Briarcliff Is Hospitalized BRIARCLIFF, N.Y. -- Briarcliff Police have cleared a car accident that occurred on South Highland Avenue Wednesday morning. The head-on collision occurred at 282 South Highland Ave., according to Sgt. Lisa Gallagher of the Briarcliff Police Department. Yorktown Residents Lament Closing Of Radio Shack YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- The Town of Yorktown was one of the hardest hit by the news that Radio Shack is closing 1,784 stores, including six in Westchester. Two of the locations are in Yorktown, one at the Triangle Shopping Center and the other at Jefferson Valley Mall.  The Triangle Shopping Center store is expected to close Feb. 28.
