A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Anderson Center Student Excited To Skate In Special Olympics Jonathan Peterson, a 20-year-old student at the Anderson Center For Autism in Staatsburg, has found his true calling. Jonathan will be skating Feb. 18 in the 2017 New York State Winter Special Olympics at the McCann Ice Arena between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. Jonathan has been skating since he was enrolled at the Anderson Center in Feb. 2012.  Anna LaFerriere, the recreation program coordinator at Anderson, introduced Jonathan to the ice as part of a therapeutic ice skating program. Dexter's Dog Boutique opened last April in the village. The store is run by Eric and Dana Peterson who decided to open the store after Dana got tired of working in the corporate world. The Petersons named the store after Dexter, their rescue dog, who is a chow/pitbull mix. "We were figuring out what we were going to do and this idea came about," Eric Peterson said. Four World War II Chaplains Honored By Yorktown American Legion YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- The American Legion Post #1009 in Yorktown spent their Sunday commemorating the lives of four chaplains who gave their lives in World War II.The chaplains' ship was sunk by a German submarine in the North Atlantic. One chaplain was a rabbi, one was a Dutch reformed minister, one was a Methodist and the other was a Catholic priest. While the ship was sinking, the chaplains handed out life preservers and calmed the soldiers on board.
