Brian Arnoff, the chef/owner of Kitchen Sink Food and Drink in Beacon, announced he is opening Meyer's Olde Dutch at the Poppy's former location, 184 Main Street, in May. Pleasantville Budget Under The Tax Cap PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- The Village of Pleasantville is keeping it below the cap. The village recently unveiled its temporary 2017-2018 budget. The $15.65 million budget features a .58 percent increase in the tax levy, below the state's tax cap of a two percent tax levy increase. New Castle Police Hosting Training On Citizen Response To Active Shooter CHAPPAQUA, N.Y.-- New Castle Police want to make sure you know what to do if you're caught in the middle of a shooting. On April 12 at 7 p.m., New Castle Police will be hosting a training session called Citizen Response to Active Shooter at New Castle Town Hall, 200 South Greeley Avenue in Chappaqua. This training will provide New Castle residents with information to help them be better prepared should they be involved in an active shooter incident, police said. The presentation is free and open to New Castle residents 16 years of age or older.
