Man Caught With Cocaine At Jefferson Valley Mall, Police Say A 30-year-old Danbury resident was arrested and charged on April 5 after police found he possessed cocaine while in the Jefferson Valley Mall parking lot. Anthony Scarfone was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree, a Class A misdemeanor. Police said they observed drug activity inside a vehicle. Police approached the vehicle and further investigation revealed Scarfone possessed cocaine.  Scarfone was released on $200 cash bail and is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on May 4 at 6 p.m.

Firefighters Respond To Gas Leak In Croton CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- The Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department was on the scene Friday just before 1 p.m. after a gas leak was reported near Old Post Road North and Terrace Place. Con Edison called the firefighters to assist with checking with houses to ensure no gas migrated into their basements, the fire department said. Twenty firefighters responded to the scene and were there for 45 minutes, the fire department said. Con Edison remains in the area working on the leak, the fire department said.
