CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. --  A 2-year-old boy died after being pulled from a pond about a half hour after being reported missing early Sunday evening in Chappaqua. Two Yorktown Men Assault 7-11 Employee, Customer, Police Say YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Two Yorktown men were charged with misdemeanor assault, after police say they got into an altercation with an employee and a customer at 7-11 on Commerce Street on Sunday. Police were called to 7-11 at 1:51 a.m. after Brandin N. Rivera, 42 and Brandon S. Rivera, 27, allegedly engaged in threatening behavior with the employee, pushing him, police said.  Police said the two also got into an altercation with a customer, who suffered an injury to his face. Yorktown Gets State Money To Improve Roads There may be some relief coming for drivers sick of potholes.The Department ofTransprotation is giving Hudson Valley municipalities $4.4 million to help improve their roads. The money is part of the DOT's Consolidated Local Street and Highway Improvement Program (CHIPS), Extreme Winter Recovery (EWR) and Local PAVE-NY 2017-18 budget.  Westchester County will get $3,484,677.68; Putnam County will receive $878,593.85, and Dutchess County will get $64,940.76.
