An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Sandra Is Dutchess County Pet Of The Week Sandra, who is at Care of DC in Wappingers Falls, is the Dutchess County Pet of the Week. Sandra is a mixed breed who was facing euthanasia while pregnant. She is now staying at the shelter and recently had her puppies. Sandra is about 2 years old. She is good with children and dogs and has not yet been cat tested, the shelter said. Tarrytown Celebrates 10th Annual Rubber Duck Derby TARRYTOWN, N.Y. -- It's going to be a quacktastic day in the Village of Tarrytown Saturday. Tarrytown is hosting its 10th annual Rubber Duck Derby on Saturday, where hundreds of ducks will float down Andres Brook in Patriots Park to benefit the Tarrytown Rotary Club. There will be six races and the winning ducks of each heat face off in a final round. The winner gets $1500. Fox Lane Wins 2017 Hudson Valley Regional Envirothon FISHKILL, N.Y. -- Fox Lane High School finished in first place at the 2017 Hudson Valley Regional Envirothon at the Sharpe Reservation in Fishkill.A five-member team of high school students worked together to compete on five environmental topics.
