The power plant returned to service Thursday morning after maintenance professionals completed repairs to the speed control system on one of the unit’s two main boiler feed pumps, Entergy, which owns Indian Point, said. The main boiler feed pumps are located on the nonnuclear side of the plant and feed water into the plant’s four steam generators so it can be heated and turned into steam to make electricity, Entergy said.
