Got Mail? This Is Only Hudson Valley Post Office Open Labor Day Believe it or not, you can send a letter on Labor Day, Hudson Valley residents. In some cases, you may need to travel a bit to do it, and even cross a bridge. Hint: Make that the new bridge. The Postal Service’s Palisades Postal Store at the mall in West Nyack is the only post office in the Greater Hudson Valley that is open on Labor Day. Stew Leonard's Ups Its Game To Help Hurricane Harvey Victims FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- In an effort to support Hurricane Harvey relief and the city of Houston, Stew Leonard’s has put collection bins in each of its stores to collect non-perishable items. The company is also working with the American Red Cross to send these items to Houston in the coming weeks. TV Pilot Filmed In Danbury Selected As Finalist In Flm Festival DANBURY, Conn. – The Jeskid TV Show pilot, shot and co-produced by Danbury’s RmediA, was recently selected as a “TV Comedy” finalist at the Independent Television Festival (ITVFest). Burke Catholic Football Team Tackles Ovarian Cancer In Goshen GOSHEN, N.Y. – It's looking a bit blue in Goshen. Teal, to be exact. For the third year in a row, the John S. Burke Catholic High School Football team tied teal ribbons on trees in the Village of Goshen to help raise awareness for ovarian cancer. Westport Cooks Up A Way To Help Hurricane Harvey Victims WESTPORT, Conn. -- In light of the devastating events in Texas, The Blues, Views and BBQ team and Downtown Merchants Association will be donating proceeds from its “Cooking for A Cause” competition to the victims of Hurricane Harvey. In the past “Cooking For A Cause” proceeds were donated to the Women’s Club Food Pantry.
