Blauvelt Sons Of Italy Unveils Bocce Tournament BLAUVELT, N.Y. – The Blauvelt chapter of the Sons of Italy held their first-ever bocce tournament last month on a court built to honor a former member, complete with lights for night play and spectator seating. The Lodge 2176 team finished first in a five-team field, and the second-place team was made up of members of the H.H. Rogers/Cabrini Lodge from Tuxedo. Team members included Greg DeCola, Paul Borghese, Rich Bonardi, Carl Dornbush, Rich Delponte, Lou Ferrara and Joe Saccao, among others. Area Veterans Honored At Freedom Flotilla NEWBURGH, N.Y. – Local military veterans were honored with a ride north on the Hudson River as part of the Freedom Flotilla event on Saturday, according to HVNN.com.
