I started my professional life as a research psychologist (not the "do you love your mother" kind). I enjoyed research and teaching, but noticed that I spent most of my non-classroom time writing and editing, often to help other people.

When I left academia,  all the "you should be a writer" admonitions followed me to job interviews. I've been squeezing in part-time writing and editing jobs for about 9 years, so now I am happily doing it full time.

Redding Approves 11 Wooded Lots For Estates In Redding REDDING, Conn. -- The town of Redding has approved The Marchant Woods Development project, which will bring 11 homes to the area. The project will develop 49 acres acres of land located on Marchant Road and Chestnut Woods Road in the western part of Redding. Old Stones Estate, LLC purchased a total of 65 acres. The lots will be developed into a new subdivision.
