Cheers: Lamont Announces New Tax Reduction On Beer In Connecticut Craft brewers in Connecticut are saying cheers, as taxes on beer in the state are set to decrease by nearly 17 percent under the newly enacted state budget. Police Ask Public For Help Locating Men Accused Of Using Stolen Credit Card On Long Island Police are asking the public for help identifying and locating men accused of using a stolen credit card at multiple Long Island stores in May. The stolen credit card was used at stores in Bellport, Middle Island and Patchogue on May 28, the Suffolk County Police Department said. The businesses included the Walmart at 750 Middle Country Road in Middle Island and the Home Depot at 20 Farber Drive in Bellport. Covid-19: Venue In Westchester Returns $427K To Customers For Canceled Events, AG Announces A Westchester County venue has returned hundreds of thousands of dollars to consumers whose events were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. New York State Attorney General Letitia James said the Greentree Country Club in New Rochelle fully returned 76 consumers' deposits. In total, the venue returned $427,000 to consumers. Woman Wanted For Stealing $450 Item From Long Island Store, Police Say Authorities are asking the public for help locating a woman police say stole from a store at a Long Island mall. The Suffolk County Police Department said the woman entered a Sephora in the Walt Whitman Mall in South Huntington at around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 27 and stole cologne, which was worth about $450.
