Whole Foods To Add Delivery Fee For Online Orders By Amazon Prime Members Amazon Prime shoppers will soon have to pay a service fee when they order a groceries delivery from Whole Foods Market. Amazon, the parent company of the grocery store chain, will begin charging a $9.95 fee for delivery orders beginning Monday, Oct. 25. The company has already been piloting the fee for two-hour deliveries in a number of markets, such as the greater Boston and Chicago areas. Amazon said the new service fee will cover operating costs. One-hour grocery pickup will continue to be free for Prime members whose orders are more than $35, the company added.

Authorities Investigating After Refrigerator Stolen From Garage In Suffolk County Authorities are asking the public for help locating the suspect or suspects who stole a refrigerator from a garage on Long Island. Between July 29 and July 31, a Sub-Zero refrigerator was stolen from a Southampton property under construction, according to Suffolk County Crime Stoppers. The property is located at 101 Hill St. Authorities said the stolen refrigerator had a value of about $8,800. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest. Tips can be submitted by calling 1-800-220-TIPS.

Expect Delays: Route 9W Stretch To Be Closed For Repairs New York State Department of Transportation is alerting motorists to expect delays ahead of road closures on State Route 9W later this week. The department said Rockland County motorists should expect State Route 9W northbound and southbound to be closed between Shadyside Avenue and Hickey Street in the Town of Orangetown on Saturday, Oct. 2. The roadway will be closed for repairs between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. "Motorists should anticipate delays and follow the posted detour utilizing State Route 59, State Route 303 and State Route 340," the department said.
