Water Main Break Shuts Portion Of Rt. 23 In Sussex County: Developing A water main break shut down a portion of Rt. 23 in Sussex County Thursday, June 1, authorities said. The break occurred near Rt. 23 northbound near Rt. 94 in Hamburg around 2:05 p.m., according to NJDOT. Rt 23 northbound all lanes closed near Rt 94 in Hamburg due to watermain break. Traffic is alternating on southbound side. Follow detour or use alternate route. — NJDOT (@NewJerseyDOT) June 1, 2023 Traffic was alternated to the southbound side as emergency crews made repairs. NJ Worker Killed By Heavy Machinery Accident: Police A 62-year-old Ocean County man was killed in an apparent worksite accident in Hillsborough early on Wednesday, May 31, authorities said. Motorcyclist, 37, Dies After Hitting Guardrail, Trees In Warren County: State Police A 37-year-old motorcyclist was killed after crashing into a guardrail and two trees in Warren County on Tuesday afternoon, May 30, state police confirmed. The crash occurred on County Route 521 northbound near milepost 2.3 in Hope Township around 2:20 p.m., NJSP Sgt. Philip Curry told Daily Voice. Gerald Grenewicz, of Blairstown, was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle that veered off the left side of the road, hit the end of a metal guardrail, and struck two trees, Curry said. Grenewicz was killed in the crash. The incident remained under investigation. No further details were released.
