Downed Trees, Wires Close Rt. 94 In Vernon, Thousands Of Power Outages Reported Route 94 in Vernon was closed in both directions Monday, June 26 and thousands of power outages were reported due to a fallen tree and wires caused by heavy winds, officials said. The road was closed near CR 644/Vernon Crossings Road around 1:10 p.m., according to the NJDOT. Somerset County Driver Killed In Late-Night Crash At Rt. 22 Intersection A Somerset County driver was killed after colliding with another vehicle at a Route 22 intersection late on Wednesday, June 21.
