Driver Gassing Up On Shoulder Of I-270 Killed In Crash: Maryland State Police
A 36-year-old Virginia man had just pulled over on a Montgomery County highway to gas up his car when he was struck and killed shortly before dawn on New Year’s Day, Maryland State Police said.
Caesar Adigwe Jr., 36, of Spotsylvania, Virginia, was pulled over on the shoulder attempting to put gas in his vehicle and was struck by a Nissan driven by Aaliyah Brown, 22, of Clarksburg, Maryland, according to officials.
The crash occurred on the northbound side of I-270 prior to Old Georgetown Road just before 5 a.m.
Adigwe was taken to Suburban Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

A pickup truck driver from New York has been charged with aggravated assault and weapons offenses following a road-rage shooting on Route 78 in Hunterdon County earlier this month, authorities said.
Collen M. Brown, 25, of Jamaica, NY, was driving a pickup truck eastbound alongside a tractor-trailer when he fired a 9 mm handgun at its engine compartment around 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15, Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renée M. Robeson said.

Seen him? Police are searching for a 20-year-old South Jersey man who has been missing since Christmas.
Jacob O. Abdelshahid, of Avenel, was last seen on East Mountain Road near CR 601 overnight on Monday, Dec. 25, Montgomery Township Police Lt. Tom Frascella said.
Abdelshahid stands 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds. He was wearing a green bomber-style jacket, black or dark blue pants, and white sneakers at the time of his disappearance and does not have his phone or wallet with him, Frascella added.

The ticket from the Tuesday, Dec. 26 drawing was sold at QuickChek on Route 1 South in Avenel, lottery officials said.
