Lanes Closed On I-95 In Stamford After Multi-Car Crash STAMFORD, Conn. -- Two lanes were closed on I-95 northbound in Stamford Thursday afternoon after a multi-car crash. The crash occurred between exits 8 and 9 at around 4:07 p.m. The right and center lanes are closed. The accident congested traffic between exits 5 and 9, according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation.

Former Bridgeport Cop Charged With Sexually Assaulting Trumbull Mall Worker BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A former Bridgeport police officer was arrested on sexual assault charges after police said he kissed the chest of a female employee at a store in the Trumbull mall, according to the Connecticut Post. An employee of the Brookstone store at the Westfield Mall in Trumbull told police that 62-year-old Garfield Burns went into the store on Sept. 12 and told her that she had large breasts before leaning over and kissing her chest, the Connecticut Post reported. Fairfield Police Rescue Stranded Bridgeport Boaters In Black Rock Harbor FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Two Bridgeport men were rescued off Black Rock Harbor by the Fairfield Police Marine Unit after their boat capsized on Thursday afternoon, according to the Connecticut Post. The two 53-year-old men were found clinging to a rock in the water off Black Rock Harbor near Seaside Park, the Connecticut Post reported. Their 17-foot fishing boat was overturned and partially submerged about 150 feet away from where marine officers found them, according to the Connecticut Post. Hart Magnet School Evacuated After Small Gas Leak STAMFORD, Conn. -- A small gas leak prompted the evacuation of Hart Magnet Elementary School in Stamford on Thursday, according to the Stamford Advocate. A small amount of gas was released into the building at around 2 p.m. Thursday when maintenance workers were purging a gas line on the roof of the school, according to the Stamford Advocate. Connecticut Submits Stamford, Hartford Areas As Sites For Amazon HQ2 STAMFORD, Conn. – Connecticut officially submitted a proposal to Amazon on Thursday for the online retailer to consider sites in the Stamford and Hartford regions as locations for a second headquarters. Turkey Bowl Game Between Darien And New Canaan To Be Held At Boyle Stadium DARIEN, Conn. -- The annual Thanksgiving Day football game between Darien High School and New Canaan High School will be held at Boyle Stadium in Stamford for the next two years. The two school districts jointly announced that the annual rivalry game, dubbed the Turkey Bowl, will be held at Boyle Stadium on Thanksgiving morning in 2017 and 2018. Milford Woman Charged In Connection With Theft From Stratford Cemetery STRATFORD, Conn. -- A man accused of stealing urns from a Stratford cemetery last summer told police that he did it because he was possessed by a Milford woman, who has now also been charged after being implicated by a witness, according to the Connecticut Post. Newtown Man Charged In Fatal Boat Collision On Lake Zoar NEWTOWN, Conn. -- A 55-year-old Newtown man has been charged in connection with a boating collision on Lake Zoar this summer that killed a Sandy Hook man. The accident took place July 11 when 52-year-old Randall Pineau of Sandy Hook was operating a pontoon boat on the lake in the area of Mohawk Trail in Sandy Hook. His vessel was hit by a ski boat operated by 55-year-old Mark Rudzinski of Newtown, according to state officials. New Canaan Man Charged In Norwalk After Entering Wrong Store With BB Gun NORWALK, Conn. — A New Canaan man in his 70s was charged on Tuesday after walking into an electronics store in Norwalk with a BB gun, mistakenly thinking it was a sporting goods store, according to the Hour.
