Peekskill Mayor Issues Orders To Honor Officers Killed In Dallas PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – Peekskill Mayor Frank Catalina was moved by recent shootings in Dallas to the point where he took special action to ensure his city would honor the victims as respectfully as possible, according to The Examiner.Catalina ordered that all flags on city buildings and properties be lowered for one week of mourning or until the final officer was buried, according to The Examiner. Westchester County One Step Closer To 33 New Bee-Line Buses WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Westchester County moved one step closer Tuesday to using a $9.98 million bond to purchase a fleet of Bee-Line buses for use along the Central Avenue route, according to lohud.com.The bond, which was approved by the Board of Legislators’ Infrastructure Committee on Tuesday, would provide 33 articulated hybrid-electric buses that could be on the road by 2017, according to lohud.com. $1.5M Grant To Help Fund Early Intervention Services In Bergen County HACKENSACK, N.J. – The Bergen County Board of Chosen Freeholders on Wednesday approved a resolution to apply for and accept nearly $1.5 million in state grant money that will be used to fund early intervention services for young children with developmental disabilities, according to a statement.The grant, which totals $1,480,493, is from the New Jersey Department of Health, according to the statement, which adds that it will be used to aid children ages 0-3. Motorcycle Crash On Merritt Parkway Draws State Police, Greenwich FD GREENWICH, Conn. -- One person was injured Thursday afternoon when a motorcycle and a car collided on the southbound Merritt Parkway, authorities said.Connecticut State Police said troopers responded to the parkway between exits 28-29 shortly after 3 p.m. to find that the motorcyclist had suffered minor injuries and was in need of medical attention.
