Author Of Book Examining Kiryas Joel To Speak In West Nyack
WEST NYACK, N.Y. – Louis Grumet, co-author of “The Curious Case of Kiryas Joel: The Rise of a Village Theocracy and the Battle to Defend the Separation of Church and State,” is scheduled to speak this week at the Jewish Community Center of Rockland County, according to lohud.com.
Grumet is scheduled to speak at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, according to lohud.com, which reported that tickets cost $18 in advance and $25 at the door.
Grumet, joins the JCC as it opens its 2016 Festival or Arts, Books & Culture, a month-long celebration, according to lohud.com.

Tappan Zee High School Goes Underground With Acoustic Performances
ORANGEBURG, N.Y. – Tappan Zee High School recently held its Acoustic Underground, a bi-annual concert highlighting the musical talents of the school’s students and teachers.
This year’s first show, held on Oct. 14, was sponsored by the high school’s Spanish Honor Society and featured 25 students and a handful of teachers, according to a statement from the South Orangetown school district.
