4th Annual Latino Youth Leadership Conference Comes to New Rochelle H.S. NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- The fourth annual Latino Youth Leadership Conference is scheduled for 10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. on April 16 at New Rochelle High School.The event is expected to draw 400 Latino students from Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Sullivan and Nassau counties as well as from New York City. Officials: Stratford Fire Caused By Animal Chewing Wires STRATFORD, Conn. -- A fire in a two-family home on Barnum Avenue in Stratford that displaced five people Wednesday morning was caused by a gas stove that malfunctioned after an animal chewed on its wiring, according to fire officials. Stratford firefighters arrived to 2074-2076 Barnum Ave. about 8:20 a.m. to find heavy smoke pouring from a first floor window, according to officials.
