Weeks Of Full Closures Planned For Portion Of Northern State Parkway In Suffolk County Drivers on Long Island are being warned about potential delays due to scheduled roadwork on the Northern State Parkway. Beginning Wednesday, July 26, the eastbound lanes of the parkway will close nightly between Deer Park Road (Exit 42) in the Town of Huntington and Sagtikos State Parkway (Exit 44) in the Town of Smithtown from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Thursday, July 27. Boston Logan Airport has reported more than 280 total cancelations as of 6:00 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 23, according to Flight Aware. People can see the current list of cancelations and delays here. As always, airport officials advise passengers to call their airlines before heading to the airport to board their plane for any last minute changes. Cold Front Coming With Snow Possible In Pre-Thanksgiving Storm, Forecasters Say Meteorologists have released a more detailed forecast of the storm systems heading to the East Coast in the days leading up to Thanksgiving (scroll down to see where snow is possible). Monday will be cloudy and -- if there's precipitation -- it will likely be light rain in New Jersey, according to the National Weather Service. High winds are expected with the coldest air of the season moving into the region in the evening, AccuWeather reports.
