Talique Carter, age 34, of Wyandanch, was arrested around 7:15 p.m., Thursday, April 18, in Wyandanch. According to Suffolk County Police, officers on patrol watched as Carter, driving an X-Pro Dirt Bike, drove recklessly at a high rate of speed on Mount Avenue. The chain of events began around 2:10 a.m. Saturday, April 6 in Orange County. The incident happened at around 10 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, near the Riverhead Cemetery on Roanoke Avenue. Riverhead Police said 28-year-old Jason Velasquez, of Riverhead, was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee northbound on Roanoke Avenue when he struck two marked police vehicles.
