Downhill Tow Truck Slams Into North Bergen Home
A tow truck towing a USPS truck slammed into the porch of a North Bergen home on Friday, Dec. 29. The truck was going downhill on 73rd at Grand Avenue when the back wheels came off the ground, sending the truck flying down to Liberty Avenue, where the driver crashed into the porch of the home, Police Capt. Jorge Raposo said. Had the truck not crashed into the home it would've gone right into Route 1&9, which was experiencing bumper-to-bumper traffic, the captain said.

Paramus Sanitation Truck, Jeep Collide Just Off Route 17
A Jeep crashed through a fence and landed on its side after a collision Tuesday morning with a Paramus sanitation truck just off Route 17. The 23-year-old Jeep Compass driver climbed out on the passenger side with what responders described as a minor hand injury following the crash on East Ridgewood Avenue shortly after 9 a.m. March 7. One Killed In Crash Between Car, Tow Truck In Northern Westchester
One person was killed and another injured during a crash between a tow truck and a car in Northern Westchester. It happened around 5:50 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9 on Saw Mill River Road (Route 100) near the Taconic State Parkway in Millwood. According to the New Castle Police, when officers arrived on the scene they found one person dead and another with minor injuries. The identity of the victim has not yet been released. An irate BMW driver became combative with police officers in Westchester attempting to help him after he got a flat tire during an off-road rage incident. 1 Extricated In Route 208 Wyckoff Rollover, Traffic Crawls
Traffic was at a stand-still along Route 208 northbound after a car veered off the roads and into the woods during Thursday. The incident occurred between Russel and Ewing avenues around 5 p.m. The road reopened about an hour later but drivers reported slow-moving traffic. The victim was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries and the car was removed by a tow truck. Michael Jannicelli also contributed to this story.

Tractor-Trailer Crashes Into Route 9A Overpass
A tractor-trailer backed up traffic for just over an hour after hitting a bridge overpass on Route 9A in Briarcliff Manor on Friday afternoon, according to police. The vehicle got stuck under the overpass around 2:30 p.m. and was stuck for about an hour before a tow truck could come and move it, Briarcliff Police said. The overpass was inspected and deemed safe, they added. Traffic was back up and running by 3:30 p.m.

Crane Needed In Paramus Rollover
A heavy-duty tow truck with a crane was needed to remove an SUV that took out a couple of traffic signs when it tumbled down an embankment Monday afternoon in Paramus.
