A 44-year-old Cranford man was airlifted to a nearby hospital after his vehicle overturned on Route 78 in Hunterdon County on the evening of Sunday, April 28, authorities said. At 7:07 p.m., a GMC SUV was traveling eastbound on Route 78 in Union Township when the driver lost control, ran off the roadway and overturned, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. The man sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to an area hospital, Lebron said. The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said.

A 60-year-old Orange man has been missing since he worked a shift at Whole Foods Market on Sunday, April 21. Rousier Romain did not return home after he left his shift abruptly at the Whole Foods in Vauxhall, Township of Union police said. Romaine left Whole Foods at 3:40 p.m. and was last seen on foot in the parking lot near the fence along the edge of Route 78, adjacent to the property, police said. A 27-year-old Orange man was seriously injured after a vehicle was struck by a tractor-trailer on Route 78 on the morning of Friday, April 5, authorities said. At 5:13 a.m. on Route 78 west in Newark, a Chevrolet passenger vehicle was stopped in the right lane due to a previous crash when it was truck by a Freightliner truck, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. The passenger of the Chevrolet was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries, Lebron said. The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said.

PA Driver, 48, Seriously Hurt In Early-Morning Route 78 Crash In Clinton Township: State Police
A 48-year-old Pennsylvania man was seriously injured in a crash on Route 78 in New Jersey overnight, police said. The Coplay driver lost control in Clinton Township around 3:50 a.m. Sunday, March 31 and ran off the roadway to the right, hitting a guardrail near on the westbound side, New Jersey State Police said. Albany Man ID'd As Victim In Deadly 2-Vehicle Crash
A 64-year-old man from the region has died following a two-vehicle crash in New Jersey. The wreck happened at around 5:45 p.m. Sunday, March 10, on Route 78 in Warren County. Carmen Berretta, of Albany, collided with another vehicle while driving eastbound on Route 78 in Pohatcong Township, authorities said. He was taken to St. Luke’s University Hospital in Bethlehem, where he was pronounced dead, according to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office. Man Killed In Route 78 Crash In Pohatcong: Coroner
A 64-year-old New York driver was killed in a crash on Route 78 in Warren County, New Jersey on Sunday, March 10, authorities said. At 5:43 p.m., Carmen Berretta, of Albany, NY, collided with another vehicle on Route 78 eastbound in Pohatcong Township, the Lehigh County, PA Coroner's Office said. Berretta was taken to St. Luke's University Hospital in Bethlehem, PA where he died of his injuries at 10:04 p.m., the coroner's office said. The coroner's office and New Jersey State Police are investigating the crash.

Pair Hospitalized After Vehicle Flips On Rt. 78 In Hunterdon County
Two people were taken to a local hospital after a vehicle flipped onto its roof on Route 78 in Hunterdon County Sunday morning, Sept. 17, responders said.
