Tractor-Trailer Crashes Into Saw Mill Parkway Overpass In Northern Westchester Whoops.  A tractor-trailer hit an overpass on the Saw Mill River Parkway in Chappaqua shearing off the top of the vehicle. The incident took place southbound around 10:10 a.m., Wednesday, April 22, at the bridge at Route 120, said the Westchester County Police. No one was injured and luckily, the tractor-trailer was empty.  It took just took a while to remove the truck from under the bridge. Traffic was not impacted, police said.

Crash Causes Delays On I-684 A crash caused southbound delays of up to seven miles on I-684 at the tail-end of the morning commute. The crash took place southbound around 8 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 15, near Exit 2 for Route 120 in North Castle, said the New York State Police. The right and center lanes were closed immediately after the crash before the center lane was cleared a short time later. All lanes were reopened by 9:45 a.m., with up to two-mile backups remaining. Minor injuries were reported.

Commuter Struck, Killed After Getting Off Stalled Bus On Route 3 In East Rutherford A man was struck and killed on Route 3 in East Rutherford late Friday after getting off a stalled bus. The victim apparently walked away from the disabled bus with his phone just before 11 p.m. when he was struck, responders said. A driver exiting the highway to Route 120 by the Meadowlands apparently lost control of the vehicle, which jumped the curb, mounted the grassy area off the road and hit the victim, they said. There was gridlock on both the Saw Mill River Parkway and I-684 for much of the Friday afternoon commute following northbound crashes that blocked lanes. The Saw Mill River Parkway crash was northbound at Roaring Brook Road (Exit 33) with gridlock to Route 120. The I-684 incident occurred at Route 22 (Exit 3) in Armonk with stop-and-go delays I-287 while the lane was blocked. There were additional northbound delays a short time after the line reopened due to a stalled vehicle in the right lane on I-684 at Route 172 in Bedford (Exit 4).
