A suspect was killed in a shootout with a police officer in Delaware County this weekend, police said. A Chester City police officer was shot by the unidentified man around 3:30 p.m. near West 14th Street and Arbor Drive Saturday, Feb. 17, city police said. The officer was recovering at a local hospital and was expected to be released. The suspect was shot and killed. This investigation is being handled by the Delaware County District Attorney's Office Criminal Investigation Division. Police have released details in a shootout that killed a 28-year-old gunman and injured an officer in a Philadelphia grocery store. Wawa Shootout: Police Release Details In Terrifying Ewing Incident
Police have release some details in a shootout that occurred inside of a Mercer County Wawa store early Sunday, Jan. 15. An argument broke out between patrons at the Silvia Street store in Ewing around 3:25 a.m., at which point workers asked them to leave, police said. One person stayed inside of the store and shot at someone who had left but was coming back inside, police said. The person re-entering returned fire, however, no one was struck. A man who fired multiple shots at police officers near an area school has been sentenced to 30 years in prison. Keith M. Potik, age 28, of Wappingers Falls, was sentenced on Friday, Aug. 20 for the incident which took place on Friday, Nov. 15, 2019, just blocks away from a primary school, leading to a school lockdown in Red Hook.
