One man is dead and another is in police custody after shots rang out on a Reading street late Wednesday, March 13, according to authorities. First responders were called to the 900 block of Franklin Street around 10:15 p.m., Reading police wrote in a release. They arrived to find Antonio Carrero dead at the scene, the department said. The man who ran from police custody in Philadelphia on Monday morning, Feb. 26 has been arrested, authorities say. Alleem Borden was reportedly being held in connection with a stolen car when he escaped while being discharged from Episcopal Hospital, according to US Marshals. Authorities are investigating after a 25-year-old Lawrence mad died while in police custody over the weekend. Christian Marte-Martinez was placed into a cell at the Lawrence Police Department headquarters around 1:15 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, the Essex County District Attorney's Office reports. Police later found Marte-Martinez unresponsive around 5 a.m., the DA's Office said. Savannah Heaton was with her aunt in Westminster when she was abducted by her 33-year-old sister, Magen Wallen on Tuesday, May 10, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (MCMEC).
