The order comes from Rockland County and Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann who on Friday, Dec. 29, issued a town-wide emergency executive order preventing charter buses from dropping off migrants. Pat Kramer, Longtime Paterson Mayor, Dies At 90 Lawrence Francis "Pat" Kramer, who spent almost his entire life in Paterson, the city where he served as mayor for 12 years, died on Thursday, Aug. 24. He was 90 years old. Kramer grew up on East 42nd Street and 18th Avenue, and attended what is now John F. Kennedy High School. After graduating from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Kramer ran on the Republican ticket for mayor, and was elected in 1966. Pilla died peacefully on Thursday, July 8, according to his obituary. He was the Port Chester mayor from 2007 to 2013 and from 2015 to 2017.  Pilla was also formerly president of the Westchester Municipal Officials Association from 2012 to 2013, and a member of its executive committee from 2017 to 2014.  He is survived by his wife, Margoth Pilla, and his son, David. The 24-year-old former council president succeeds Frank Caramagna, who resigned after being charged with voter fraud last month. Golabek, a law student at Seton Hall University, has been coming to council meetings for 11 years. He was unanimously selected by the Council to assume the role.
