A dump truck overturned on the New Jersey Turnpike Thursday afternoon, July 27, according to 511nj.org. The truck overturned on the inner and outer roadways on the Turnpike northbound near Interchange13A, the exit near Newark Liberty International Airport and Elizabeth at about 1:30 p.m., 511nj.org said. A dump truck overturned closing all southbound lanes of Interstate 287 in Central Jersey in a multiple-vehicle crash, authorities said. The crash occurred at 2:06 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17 at milepost 1 in Metuchen, according to Sgt. Philip Curry, a spokesman for the the New Jersey State Police. Multiple vehicles were involved in the crash including a dump truck that overturned and spilled dirt across the roadway, Curry said. No serious injuries were reported and I-287 was re-opened approximately 2.5 hours after the crash occurred, he said.

Fire crews jumped to action when a dump truck went up in flames in Sussex County Monday afternoon. A dump truck slammed into a home early Wednesday, Oct. 21, landing in the kitchen of a Long Island home. The incident took place in Suffolk County around 7:20 a.m., at 138 Plymouth Blvd., in Smithtown, said the Suffolk County Police.
