Town officials have applied for a grant that would help fund efforts toward creating a bicycle and pedestrian path between the North and South County Trail and the new Tappan Zee Bridge in Westchester. The application was submitted to New York State officials by the town of Greenburgh, which detailed the proposed path in an announcement on Thursday, Feb. 29. Man, 34, Shot While Cycling In Baltimore: Police
A 34-year-old man was shot while cycling in Baltimore overnight on Wednesday, Feb. 14, police said. Southeast District patrol officers responding to a nearby hospital to investigate a report of a walk-in shooting victim found a 34-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the foot just after midnight. The man told police that he had been shot while riding his bike near the 1200 block of North Bond Street. Authorities in Middlesex County have identified the cyclist who died after being hit by a delivery truck in Newton on Monday, Aug. 28. Alex Bohm, 57, was riding his bike west of Watertown Road, and a UPS truck coming the other way collided as the truck went to turn onto Bridge Road, the Middlesex District Attorney said.
