The nearly 700 students at University Heights Charter School (UCHS), a pre-K-8 public charter school in Newark, were told on June 1, the New Jersey Public Charter Schools Association said Friday, June 3. Friends of Baystate Academy Charter Public School in Springfield purchased the school’s building at 2001 Roosevelt Ave. in June, but was only recently announced. The building had been owned by Polman Realty LLC.
