Double Tractor Trailer Crash Jams Capital Beltway In Fairfax County
A crash involving two tractor trailers on the Capital Beltway Wednesday, March 13 had traffic tied up during morning rush hour. It happened at 7 a.m. in the southbound lanes when a passenger vehicle and two tractor-trailers collided near Exit 45, State Police said. Person Changing Tire Struck, Killed By Truck On Beltway In Fairfax County: State Police
A person changing a tire on their car was struck and killed by a truck on the Capital Beltway early Sunday, March 10 in Fairfax County, police said. The unidentified person was in the shoulder of the westbound lanes near Exit 176 when they were struck just before 3:40 a.m., Virginia State Police said. The pedestrian died at the scene. The driver of the truck was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The Virginia State Police Fairfax Division Crash Reconstruction Team is assisting with the ongoing crash investigation. Ozaltin, of McLean, was in a Toyota Prius heading south in the northbound lanes when her vehicle struck a northbound 2018 Chevrolet Cruze, just after 2 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21, Virginia State Police said.
